Hi, I’m Farrah…
I’m a wife and a mom of three with a successful career as a marketing leader. And now at 45, I’ve started a blog.
On the evening of my 40th birthday, I sat back with a glass of wine and a slice of birthday cake, and I found myself reflecting on years past. I wasn’t unhappy or disappointed, but I couldn’t help but ask myself, “am I the person I want to be? Am I living the life I want to live?”
I’d worked my tail off since college, climbing my way up the corporate ladder, but what else? Was I living to work or working to live? I had no hobbies, at least none that I actively practiced. I was also exhausted and quite frankly, bored. My life was so routine it was predictable.
What did I have in my life that made my soul glow? Something had to change. It was time to take responsibility and be the go-getter I always aspired to be.
Growing up, I dreamed of being a writer and a mentor. I envisioned being well-traveled, physically fit, and living by a beach, but I was not there. “Why?” I asked myself.
I realized that I had never turned my dreams into an actual plan. Those desires lived only in my head. I’d never physically introduced them into the real world.
At that moment, I knew I had to get serious and define what I wanted, who I wanted to be and the steps needed to get there. It was time to design clear intentions about my life and create Farrah 2.0.
Fast forward to today: In the five years since that fateful night, I married my wonderful husband and embarked on the adventures of parenthood. I changed jobs. I started working out and meditating daily, and I have stayed committed to planning my life—from daily to-dos to life goals.
All this has brought me to you. Enter my blog, where I provide encouragement and tips to help you realize the life you were meant to live.
I see women holding so much potential but are caught up on the same hamster wheel. We’re not enjoying life. We’re going through the motions enough to keep our heads above the water, just above the water. It’s time to hop off that wheel.
I’m not talking about jumping ship and escaping corporate America. If that happens, it happens, but I’m really talking about following dreams and exploring life in new ways. And most importantly, to do it all without apology.
As I journey to living my best life, I hope to inspire you to do the same. So, take a few minute to connect with me and help build a community of women supporting each other to be the best version of themselves as they can. Together, we will figure this out.
I’d love to hear from you, so drop me a message. Whether giving me feedback on a blog post, recommending topics you like to read about, or sharing stories of how you’ve taken action to live your very best life, your voice is welcome here.
Spread the word, invite your friends, and join me on the journey to your 2.0.
